What a treat it is to see Willem Dafoe in a lead role again. We don’t see enough of him on the big screen, one of the best actors of his generation. The Hunter is a film all in restraints whether it be in action or emotion. We leave the theatre haunted by this resignation: that it is sometimes better to let it die. One thing is certain that you will never forget the Tasmanian Tiger.

Spoiler : Just realised that the guy who takes the main character prisoner while hunting and get caught in one of his trap isn't just another Red Leaf "agent" but is also the guy we see at the very begining of the film when Martin is proposed to work with.
