Thumper looks like a boxer on a strict diet to maintain his body at the appropriate weight class. He is all dead serious and lets his actions speak louder than words as a near blind follower of Hopper. It's all business with no fun and games and only cracks a smile for every task he believes to have completed to the appropriate level. He is the type of person that I can understand, except that he is on the side of evil and not good.
