Today's video is all about cabinet making for beginners. Whether this is your first attempt, or if you've tried making a cabinet before, this lesson should give you a few more tips to improve your next build. For this project I intentionally used only 3 powertools and the cheapest Kreg Jig setup at $36. If you have questions or need help, just say the word!

This video is not for beginners. You are going way too fast and using terms beginners may not know.

I'm new to making cabinets and I appreciate you making this video with minimal tools and straight pieces. Nothing worse than watching a video when someone has a million dollar wood shop! Thank you!

Thank you! I just made two cabinets in half a day by following this. This is the third time I've attempted a cabinet and the first time that everything came out flush and square. I love the technique of beginning the assembly with the front of the cabinet face down on a flat surface. I also appreciate the speed of the video--it showed respect for the audience's time.

Came across this when searching for a cabinet diy and I have no need to look any further. Amazing video with great detail while being straight to the point.

In the UK we often use plastic slot in feet for height adjustment, particularly useful if the floor is slightly uneven, this is also useful if you have a leak and water pours over the floor etc 👀 The front lower edges are usually detachable. I've just finished doing some remedial work to the kitchen by using two unit length and strengthened with fixed shelves, that I found a real bonus because you are not limited to one unit shelf length for storing kitchen gear etc Also my partner put in a curtain spring cord (eyes and hooks) across the tops that has 'curtains' instead of door fronts.. these can be taken off, washed ! and replaced. A nice Gingham blue 👀😃Great vid and as always the beauty of them is how with a little bit of ingenuity you can modify to suit your particular situation with ease. Oh and I got away with the shelf lengths (2 units) using a run of metal rod rebated into the bottom of the shelf to give it added strength. I have to say that the shelves in question rarely have anything of any significant weight on them!! 👀😃Our Covid 19 war reserves 👀- tins, cans and similar are on the bottom shelf supported on the base structure👍

This is the most realistic and definitely a video I'll need if I ever going to make a cabinet
All other videos says it's easy but with all those tools needed, I'll better buy one cabinet which will be cheaper...I want to build a cabinet myself ☹️

Great video. As a fledgling woodworker, I would personally find it helpful if you would give a shopping list for these projects. Plans would also be useful, but it would probably take you more time to draw those up. I think a shopping list would be a quick but quite useful addition to these videos :)

I just found your channel and it is really top notch. Your videos are well thought out and well explained. I hate videos that just play music without any explanations. I’ll make sure and mention you in some of the woodworking groups I am in.

Hello, I would like to ask, what type of plywood is the most suitable to make these cabinets from? Well thank you.

I love the video. Thanks so much. Question: What do you do different to make a base cabinet for a bar / island? Why size plywood for the "back" and how do you attach it?

This video series is great, thanks so much for putting these together! Shaker doors complete yesterday, working on the frames today.. Using these to build cabinetry for our utility room. While I'm building the cabinets, is there a quality paint you recommend? My wife refinished the kitchen cabinets with "cabinet grade paint" from Sherwin Williams a year or so ago, but it's very rubbery and scratches easily. The finish is now awful around heavily used pulls like silverware drawer and doors with cups & plates. I'm hoping to get some advice on a paint that will last before I get to finishing these cabinets. Many thanks!
