I was very happy to see a sitcom actually take some time out and not go for the laughs. The scene of Abby and Dan talking like real people about a very moving subject was one of the best recent things I’ve seen on TV. Night Court 2 is a good example of updating characters but keeping the same spirit that fans ask for. Great job everyone, hope you have along run!

This had to be hard from John, being one of the last few surviving members of the Original cast. Honestly without him, I don't think this show would have made it.

I'm honestly surprised as a revival sequel, they haven't introduced Christine's son, or a character that is Dan's illegitimate child. . .unless they plan to reveal that Olivia is his.

Funny thing about the incident Dan's talking about. It was the episode where Harry learned what really happened to his mother and met the man who would later turn out to be his real father. Buddy Ryan, played by the late, great John Astin. One of my favorite episodes of the og series.

I feel sorry for Abby. I'm glad Dan got her back. Last night's episode with the return of the Wheelers is hilarious.

Having watched the original Night Court faithfully, this reboot is better even. It has the heart of the original and the comedic timing, but there's something else....John and Melissa's chemistry is spot on....we all wish we could spend that one more day, one more moment with someone we have lost. When things get rough, we look to our anchor. Both Dan and Abby had that anchor in Harry, and the writers of this show have lovingly demnstrated that Harry Stone is still very much a member of this odd bunch even after his sad passing. I absolutely love this reboot as much as the original, maybe even a bit more so. I touches me and makes me laugh, sometimes like this moment...it makes me cry....but tears of joy at how they handle grief and deaaling with it. Beautiful and inspiring....and no, we don't need a psychic to know our loved ones are with us.

Harry was the best!

To me he made the show! I can't imagine being in court in front of a judge and the judge pulls out a magic trick . Tough shoes to fill.

I also loved Bull. RIP big guy!
And Markie Post... That was some lady. Beautiful with great comedic timing.
I don't really care for Dan's character, but John Laroquette...? always amazing.

I wish the part where Abby puts her head on dans shoulder was in this clip. It would have been interesting if Dan hugged her just like a father. Because Dan has been a father figure for Abby
