This original cast member was disappointed to not reprise his role. Omri Katz, who played teen rebel Max Dennison in the original movie, was surprised and disappointed to not be asked back for the sequel. His hope was to please the fan base and have all of the original trio of kids make cameos or have roles, but due to logistics of fitting them all in the story, none of them had roles. Katz said that he would have loved to be involved but unfortunately hadn’t been asked.

I wish it would have been original cast like IT ..all grown up and there different stages in life with there kids….and Binx’s ghost helping or making an appearance…JUST SOMETHING that puts us back to the original …it just felt too Disney Series to me.. I was so disappointed 😔

I saw an interview where they said that they didn’t want to come back. Bette Midler and the other sisters wanted to but not the kids. At least that’s what I remember from the interview or something. I could be wrong

This is how I wish they would've done a cameo. Have Max and Allison be at the carnival with a daughter, and they see the Sanderson Sisters walking, and they go, "No, no, no, no, no." And they run off, pulling their daughter with them.

This could have been like IT 2 or something or Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. A continuation of the story. The original trio could have been all grown up with Max and Allison having a kid, while Danny could have been her aunt with a black cat named Binx. 😢
