I don't understand why people hate Gear 5. It IS Luffy. The very culmination of his being. Goofy, powerful and liberating. He's finally free to do what he wants! (Or so I think. I've only read up till the feast after the battle.)

I loved your reactions, because while watching luffy getting a gear 5 youre supposed to laugh and smile. Lots of people are hating the animation and luffy´s actions during fight, because it looks like a Tom and Jerry or Looney Toons. Even trought Oda made this fight to look like this because he wants to make people smile and laugh, which is why he doesnt like when characters die, he doesnt want every arc to end with sadness because of someone´s death instead he wants to write about partying after a winning the fight. Which is why is this fight so silly and goofy and it just made me happy to see that you were laughing to this like Oda wanted.
