To clarify what I said here** The past few times Luffy has gone G5 (in the manga** sorry I said on screen lol) we haven’t really seen it.

Luffy vs Lucci in the manga it was a hard cut to G5, Luffy vs (spoiler) we don’t see him start his transformation either; he just pops up in it. Even Luffy’s current fight, he just pops into G5 off screen again. So no, we do not see the G5 transformation on screen/manga often.
