Aiming for the ankle so you hit the right area when landing. It’s these types of tips that helps a lot like when Gsp used to say aim for the throat so ur knuckles land on the chin, jus the little tweaks that help a lot, hope u put more of these tweaks out there.

peroneal isn’t down there, there’s nothing to think or debate over in that regard. If drop foot is what you want, you’re failing kicking the ankle plain and simple. Planting the leg is incredibly risky given it only checks 1 kick. Your low thigh will get THRASHED LIKE THIS. It’s better to lift and turn 45 as the classic MT check dictates. You can even follow a check up to a body kick as well as cover low kicks . But if you plant, you can’t adjust or have coverage aside from the low / calf. It’s certainly more effective I can’t argue there only if you know for a fact a calf is coming. Then you’re 100% right. But I’ve been burned by this myself. your opponent will just adjust and tear you apart if you only plant your leg. I love crumbling tibias but I’ve gotten a couple bruised ribs guessing wrong 😂
