I know Back to the Future is virtually untouchable in terms of a remake, but I'm surprised no one has tired to come close to replicating something like it...sounds like this comes close..from a time travel pov...

Don't nobody care about his personal life. Saying you're not gonna talk about it, is talking about it. No one gives a shit. All we care about is the Movie 🎉

One of the biggest compliants is that the CG is bad. Since this movie is pushed back multiple times, they could have fixed some of the issues. Of course, it is a lot of work, time, and money in a company in turmoil and transition. Too bad. If they said it was this good, you would hope it is worth the effort.

Never a big fan of Ezra Miller, but I will probably check out the movie and see how it goes from here - if it will make money or will they keep or recast him if they continue with the Flash character.

Still think it is stupid having Flashpoint as the first Flash story. Flashpoint should be a 10 year DC movie project after the universe is established and the characters we know and loved are altered by Flashpoint. Now it is a gimmick to reboot the franchise.

*Minor spoilers?* Nice review but I thought the multiverse scene where all the IP was displayed fit in with the theme of resurrecting people vs. accepting the inevitability of their death. It seemed more clever than gimmicky to me, as it tied the theme of Barry's story into the meta story of what practically all the major studios are doing with IP and multiverse movies. It was really just saying let them rest.

I'm looking forward to seeing this movie I understand why so many people are saying that they can't But even though I think Ezra Miller is Crazy as Hell I'm going to go see it for Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck and I hear Nickolas cage is going to be in it too 😁👍

Personally I didn't mind the deep fake looking people when Barry went back in time. I think it was purposely done, resembling 3D crystal images, to differentiate that they are on the other side of Barry's plain.

To be fair, if people have followed, most of Millers charges were dropped and many of the allegations proved to be untrue and media stories were retracted. The violent behavior and outbursts, yes, the grooming stuff, no, just for example. Miller has had mental health issues for years and was on psychotherapy drugs and ended up having a psychotic breakdown. Perhaps 'The Flash' broke him? Health Ledger had to get psychotherapy for months after playing Joker. That said, good review. I am looking forward to the movie. I have no expectations. I will not nit-pick it. As long as I can escape reality for 2.5hrs and be entertained, mission accomplished :)

I think he forfeited any right to ask anyone to play his identity game after his antics.
That being said, the movie is said to be entertaining. So I will give it a watch.

I believe the CGI is STILL being worked on despite the 'final' screening. Its not uncommon for effects to be still worked on up until the last minute even after special screenings. Michael Bay said the CGI in Transformers 2 was finished only a couple of hours before its main premiere! If it still looks bad when it's finally released, then there's no excuse. This film was made 2 years ago with a $190 million budget. They've had plenty of time and money to get this film right.
