The Nightmare universe ending would’ve been insane and still could’ve worked considering that James Gunn is just uncanonizing every DC project until Creature Commandos. Considering that the multiverse is so big it could still be possible to get an ending to what Snyder set up with a multiverse Justice League coming together to take on Nightmare Superman and Darkside who have figured out how to travel to different earths.

I really think seeing a call-back/continuation of the Knightmare sequence would have fit right, considering the original WB plans dating back to 2018 i.e. more heavily influenced by Synder.

There’s also the edited ending from the movie’s early screening where they don’t even show George Clooney and instead just shows Barry asking who that is which is honestly more in line with James Gunn’s plan (if you ask me)
