THE FLASH Movie Review | DC FINALLY Gets It RIGHT!

After months of doing trailer breakdowns, analyzing leaks, and overall griping about this movie on the internet... here's my review of DC'S THE FLASH.

See, for me, that "having to remind yourself" that Ezra Miller has hurt real people is where I have problems with encouraging people to pay to see this movie. You got invited for a screening, great for you. But, you are doing exactly what they wanted you to do and that is convince other people to go see the movie.
If this movie is a financial success, what does that say about the fan community? It tells Warner and Disney and all the other companies that is really doesn't matter how terrible the people are that make the movie, people don't care, they'll eat it up and Ezra Miller will be allowed to continue making Flash movies. That IS what will happen, they have already said so. So, if you want Ezra Miller to have a movie career after all he has done, pay to see this movie, reward him and Warner for their behavior and choices and accept that you are okay with him doing all he did because he can pretend to be someone else on screen.
You know, there is a debate to be had on separating the art from the artist. I'm not saying I think anything created by anyone that ever did anything wrong should be boycotted. I also think that far too many people lose their careers over unfounded accusations alone and that is wrong IMO. For me, Ezra Miller has been proven to be such a deplorable human being that I do not want to do anything that will encourage him to be rewarded with a lucrative career before he has even payed for his crimes. If this movie is a success, he likely NEVER WILL pay for his crimes and they WILL star him in future films. That is unacceptable to me. I'll be severely disappointed in the fan community if they support this film and enable his behavior further, but sadly largely thanks to the response to this movie, I will not be surprised I'm afraid.

It's well established in the comics that Bruce donates millions of dollars to Gotham every year, most notably through the Wayne Foundation. He also funds employment centers and free clinics. But, he has to pretend to be an idiot so Lucius Fox gets most of the credit, a lot of it deserved. But, Bruce can't have a relationship, trains hours per day, does detective work, barely sleeps, gets shot at and stabbed constantly... I think he's giving Gotham most of his life. More money isn't going to fix much.

From what I've heard it sounds like the issue with Ezra as Barry before was not because of his acting ability but because of direction. Some actors just can't put out a decent performance without someone at the reigns.

As for the movie's marketing, let's be real that trailer was legit trash. I'm glad that the movie seems to be better than everyone expected but that trailer did a lot to tank said expectations so the surprise isn't unjustified.

The Flash wasn’t bad. But, I hated all the Flash stuff… it should’ve been a Batman movie, featuring a Keaton and Afleck story/adventure, with Calle as Super Girl, and Miller/flash should’ve been a side character just used to travel between universes.
