The last comment is important. I did research and see what people recommended. I tried on many of these shoes and more. In the end none of these felt secure and stable around my foot like some others I tried. I ended up going to multiple stores and after trying lots out I got the hoka Clifton 9, the Brooks ghost max, and the hoka mach 6.
Always compare running shoes to see what works with your foot and supports your stride the best.

Great choices. I have the same shoes except the new 1080 Kinvara pro and the elite. I think I’m getting the Kinvara pro and wait for the speed 4 next year.

Idk if it’s me, but the triumphs be hurting my forefoot when i run, I have the triumph 20’s and idk if it’s just me and the way I run but I think it is but yea.

Any reason you go for a zero drop trail shoe? I also like the triumph for my slow, longer runs, but with a 10mm drop I wonder if it feels weird going to a zero drop for trail runs?

I literally just wear pos Walmart sneakers. I banged out 18 miles in them a few days ago. I'd probably smoke people in a nice pair but I'm a frugal bastard. I may need to get some non slip variety soon though because I run in the winter and there's ice everywhere in NH
