How to make frozen yogurt with a cuisinart ice cream maker

I used the vanilla frozen yogurt recipe that came with the machine and it was absolutely terrible. Looking at the measurements on the recipe it looked off but I followed the recipe anyways to find a yogurt sorbet after 40 mins of mixing :(
