Sure, at first glance you may think it’s a regular family SUV, but once you peer a little closer, you’ll see there are a whole host of upgrades to be found! Starting with the outside, there are a number of styling updates to be found, from a roof spoiler & quad-tailpipes through to 21” alloys and tinted rear windows!

But of course, that’s not all. The interior is plastered with blue R stitching and badges, and once you peer under the bonnet, you’ll find a 2-litre 4 cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that delivers 320hp & 420Nm!

I think he was a bit rough with the verdict. The Tiguan R is a great car! Comfortable when u aren't acting crazy, still an amazing family mid-size SUV, it has one of the bigger boots for this class of car, and it can go from 0-60 in under 4.5 seconds. and most importantly, all that for UNDER 50k. I think if u want a cheap-ish performance SUV, This is one of the best choices, if not THE best

VW must really be underrating their hp numbers. 320hp doesn’t seem enough to push this through the 1/4 in 12.7!

I love this car i got the regular one and i have no regrets at all. The color options are fantastic. Mine was moon grey everyone had been complimenting my car and it feels good. Also, the gas mileage is quite decent. Cant wait to see the next generation!
