This is more to check my form than to inform. That said, if you wish to improve your cutting and flexibility I would wholeheartedly recommend meels and clubs. This is my 6th set of rotations after some mace work and my control is a little ropey. That said, it is still showing improvement. As usual thank you to both Steve Angell and Mike Simpson, two great blokes who continue to inspire.

Also, after perusing the other club training vids on your channel, I am now wondering if a video detailing a complete swordsman-oriented fitness routine could be made? Maybe make it into a Crossfit-esque WOD format, make something of a challenge out of it? Could be fun...

I do this exercise and it is very effective to gain strength very fast I do this exercise from three month and now I can easily lift 30 kg weight of bar bells for arms exercise we indians also use this exercises

I started to train with a 6 kilos iron bar like if it was a gada mace and I really noticed how good workout is, now I started to train with a 500 gs. baseball bat too, and is just the best way of training the forearms and elbows.

Do you think rebar and exercise bars are good a subsitute? I'm a bit cash scrapped but I have those things laying around my backyard.

I love meels and Indian clubs but they're way too expensive. I just made my own from scrap wood which I add weight to as I get stronger.

10 is pretty good going though.

I’ve been studying Indian Clubs for a while now and more recently Pahlavani (with Persian Meels) under Kashi Azad, and this has gotten me into HEMA. Your content has been extremely helpful in my HEMA studies!

Have you tried the pinky under the pommel technique with these meel? It’s part of Pahlavani & I’m curious about it’s possible transference to swordsmanship. Cheers!
