Sheik had no idea that he, Slaughter, and Adnan would be jobbing to this Guy and Hogan in a handicap match about a decade later. 🤪

Warrior would have done it with his War paint on. It’s the face paint that gave him his powers.

Those Persian Clubs weighed about 75lbs each. Such impressive strength shown by the Sheik (R.I.P.) 🇮🇷💪🏻

Great demonstration of ‘functional strength’

There's a circular technique the Sheik is using, amazing strength, but technique too.

I heard Hogan say that even Andre The Giant had trouble handling the Persian clubs as well as Sheik could.

"You couldn't do it 25 years ago in the Georgia with my Persian clubs. Now, you wanna challenge with me? I'm ready anytime you want."

Sheik makes it look like a piece of cake. Of course, Ultimate Warrior was much bigger and obviously can out Sheik with certain lifts. This particular exercise with the clubs is so much more practical than your standard military press, wrist rollers or ab crunch (yes, stabilizing your abs while doing this takes effort). Warrior clearly had weak wrists. Having good leverage with heavy dumbbells is one thing, but if all of the weight isn’t horizontally aligned with your hands then that’s very difficult to handle, no matter how much you can bench or squat. Bob Backlund trained for practical purposes rather than looks, yet he was able to pass the Persian Club challenge and because of that, Sheik gifted Backlund with two sets of his clubs (as shown on WWE’s Most Wanted Treasures episode when the WWE sent Slaughter to attain the clubs from Backlund for fan display purposes).

Each of these clubs weighed about 70 lbs. (32 kilos). That might not seem like a lot of weight, but for beginners, it's very challenging to swing that amount of weight using the specific form that the Iron Sheik did.

That's Precious Paul Ellering talking with Gordon Solie. I guess this was when The Iron Sheik was a member of The Legion of Doom.

there is a rhythm to this that you have to master

It's a dexterity exercise. I remember hellwig saying he could press something like 385 behind the back early on. He'd have caught on with these things pretty quickly if he wanted to.
