Hi mate. I came across your channel whilst looking up tools to add to my field tool kit. If I may say, thank you very much for all the hard work you do to make the videos, for me, they are quite a lot of help. Subscribed. Thank you. :)

Dear video poster, thank you very much for this video. I subscribed and will check out your other vids! This is wickedly excellent. I had no idea I could test my actual house fuses like this (I knew, like many, the theory, but what to do when actually having to do it...) :-)

Thank you very much for this!

THANKS for the information. I  was able to "diagnose" my first electrical issue on my own.

Hi Sir,

Small question, I have a problem where in one particular room, one of the liight bulb wirings is not showing any voltage when testing it. Tested with both the multimeter and the screw driver lighting thing.

I'm wondering, is it possible, to check whether a wire is broken somewhere in the wall, without opening up the wall? Can I check without breaking anything, that the wiring (which is very long, and both ends are too far appart do do a continuity test with the multimeter) is OK?

Lol I always thought this was just a socket tester. Lol great tests fuses to. Thanks helpful. I've started a basic electricity course with coursegate.

Thanks to this vid, i recently ordered two of these online, and keep one in the car.
It helped me find a dud fuse when the boiler went dead.
Cost about £2.50 each tho, lol.
Very helpful video as always...thanks!

It's a shame, I bought a new set of c.k 1kv insulated screwdrivers a couple months back and it came with the cheap crappy neon screwdriver, I quickly rendered that thing U/S so no-one could use it and threw it in the bin. For mains testing, I use a fluke non-contact voltage tester and a two pole testing device (I forget the make of it) which are both properly rated for the voltage I'm working on. I'm with you on this one about neon screwdrivers. Good video :)

Does the screwdriver have a current source ???

Quality. Thanks for this. Don't underestimate how many people out there are a bit physics / electrical dumb (such as me).

Really helpful, thanks - but what do you do with a multimeter which doesn't have a bleep setting? My Ohms reading seems to cycle through multiple values on a new fuse. I don't know why!

What do we call for this type of tester?? I mean if you touch that tester on both sides, it eliminates light. I'm asking that

Hiya, in another video you did entitled "Neon screwdrivers – The most dangerous thing on earth!"
you said you didn't mind the neon screwdriver testers and the one you show in this video also appeared in the above mentioned video, can you explain why now your not a big fan of neon screwdrivers and what is the difference between the screwdriver tester in this video and the neon ones in the other previously mentioned video because I'm confused as they both light up so doesn't that make it a neon screwdriver?....thx keep up the videos, much appreciated.

How will the light glow without any current?? You have just touched by hands. What do we call for this type of tester??

Can you safely test a 63 amp fuse with a Kewtech voltage tester? I've installed three distribution boards in a building, they are all supplied from an MEM switchgear panel containing three 63 amp fuses each of which is the link between the incoming supply and the cable to each board. Two of the cables are fine, supplying power without a problem, but the third cable will not power up when connected. Power is coming in, but not being transmitted through the fuse to the cable. I have pulled out the fuse link housing between the supply and load sides, and it houses a 63 amp Bussman fuse.
