How to check large clear fuses

Here is how I check large clear fuses.
Some names I have hear these called: FMX, FLB, FLD, FLM, FLF, JCAS, ... But most people call them, the big clear ones.

Just an FYI, These are called J case fuses. There are two different styles. One is the regular tall case and the other is the low profile. I have a 2011 Crown Vic Police interceptor and these are the fuses in the fuse box under the hood.

Thank you. My fuse box is jammed up under the dash and not in the open like in your example. It's hard to see the fuses by eye. Was able to get my phone up in there and get pictures of the little windows.

😩 My fuses are opaque plastic... because of course they are - being transparent like yours would be helpful

I usually check for resistance, but since those clear tops come off easy, so you could use the test light to check them as well.

you have 120 amp has external connections....the ones in the fuse panel dont have that....try removing the clear fuses and use a OHM

How do I remove a 2016 Nissan Versa SV triple 40 fuse? Doesn't look bolted in but it won't come out to replace.

I have an 80 amp fuse stuck, it won't come out for nothing, it's almost like it got melted in . Any advice on how to get it out ? And I pretty much destroyed the top of it, pulling on it .
