Can You Upgrade the iMac Pro?!

Apple doesn't want you to disassemble iMac Pro, but yolo.

Despite questionable hardware choices, Apple certainly struck it out of the park with iMac Pro. It's fast, it's mean, it's expensive, and it's meant to stay sealed. Snazzy Labs decides to open, disassemble, and upgrade the iMac Pro's CPU and RAM anyways.

Yeah those "warranty void if removed" stickers are actually illegal in the USA via the Right to Repair laws so rip those things right off and tell Apple to talk to the FTC if they say anything about it.

I am not surprised with Apple's way and choice of applying thermal paste. I work in Apple Certified Repair center and new 2016 and 2017 MacBook Pro machines are all having GPU overheating problems after less than a year of use. And guess why? Thermalpaste. I applied Thermal Grizzly paste on my machine, but due to Apple Certification I am not allowed to apply a 3rd party paste to our clients. Here you go…

The stuff we see once you opened the case like the issue with thermal paste is why people complain about quality control. The fact they don’t let us do these upgrades more easily despite the price and the fact that you can in fact upgrade begs the question of why they do make those options available

B - revision of intel 10 core CPU got 300 less mhz - that make it hammer VRM less. PSU not a problem here.
