Honda Element...awesome road trip rig if you have one. You can sleep in the back. I've been across the US in one, great ride. Can't argue the minivan other than not wanting your friends to see you driving one.

Worst car for a road trip: MR2 Spyder. Small, seats don't recline, engine in the back (loud), soft top (also loud).

You lost me upon recommending a Chrysler vehicle. You go road tripping in a chrysler, you're going to spend half the time in the repair shop. This wasn't about being a passenger, this is about being the driver. I'm not sure these guys actually drive 🤷

I have a 2016 Toyota Prius. I put the seats down in the back and put a mattress in (yes an entire mattress fits.) And use plastic storage bins for… storage. I get 60 MPG and the thing needs almost zero maintenance and runs FOREVER. Prius is #1 for solo or two person road trips.

Conversion van is the best. Basically a rolling living room.
