Muscle Memory Explained (Animation)

preview_player
Показать описание
When muscle fibers expand, cells in the tissue known as stem cells multiply rapidly and combine with the fibers that are already present to generate a greater volume in the cell. Strength training and other forms of physical fitness result in the addition of new nuclei to muscle cells. Even after extended breaks in training, these additional nuclei remain. Muscle memory is produced as a result of these nuclear additions. As you start to train more, sufficient nuclei will be transferred to your cells. When you resume your training, your muscle cells will remember this process, and you will regain your previous size. #animation #Shorts #muscle #workout #exercise

I wanna add that I was in the “best shape of my life” at 32. I was jogging five miles/day Taking adderall. Eating probably a 1200 cal deficiency. I went from 300 to 215lbs. In around 8 months. Then I got depressed as we do and gained it back. I never thought I’d reach that again. Now I’m 36. I’m eating 200 plus grams of protein and shooting for around 2000 cal and 10k steps a day. I’ve lost 60 lbs and I’ve gone from 205x6 to 205x15 (3 sets)flat bench. Never been stronger in my life. Not bragging but hope this inspires u heavy set guys. Don’t starve yourself. Be patient and consistent.

I stopped lifting weights when I left college. I was swole, really took it serious. 20 years later I rediscovered my passion and what took me 4 years to build when I was younger I got it all back and more in one year. Muscle memory is an underrated super power. 👍

What people commonly refer to as muscle memory isn't located in the muscle at all it's in the brain. When you do any action for example like play a specific guitar chord progression. You send neurons down a neurological pathway in your brain, the more you play that chord progression the more a substance called mylin develops on that neurological pathway. That results in a stronger and faster connection required to play that progression faster and effortlessly. I learned this from a book called the talent code, a great read investigating why people become great at various things and how they do it.

I had 6 months out after a knee injury but had trained on/off 10 years and built up good muscle mass. In those 6 months i got fat and lost all my muscle. Literally 4 months of training and im in the best shape ive ever been.

For all the people that have taken weeks, months, or even a year off, listen to my experience. I weighed 175lbs 4 years ago and was in the best shape of my life. 275 bench, 445 deadlift, 365 squat.

Well I just started lifting again after four years and at first I was shocked at how weak I was, but only 1 month in and it's like noobie gains x100. Your strength will come back faster than you would think possible. I've gone from 127lbs to 145lbs in a month and still see large gains in strength day to day as well as being able to already see a huge difference in my physique.

Crazy how amazing the human body is.

I knew about muscle memory a few decades ago. I stopped bodybuilding 6-10 years ago when I was 245lbs. I started again 2 weeks ago, I was not expecting just how fast my muscles are already growing. Yeah, good times!
