Watch stuff and learn and chill hi whatsup ⚔️👋🧐

Hi everyone! I'm an American from the Northeast (New England). I want to create a watering hole for people who want to discuss, learn and teach about history through YouTube videos which you guys recommend to me through the comment section or over on Discord. Let's be respectful but, just as importantly, not be afraid to question any and everything about historical records in order to give us the most accurate representation of the history of our species and of our planet!

They are top guns, the best, invited because they have excelled in their field, they are celebrities in the UK, great honour

Just think of it in terms of when you’re driving in your car and you flip a coin it doesn’t fly backwards just falls back to your hand. Same principle. Love the reactions !!

The surface speed of the earth at the equator is approximately 1000mph. If you jump off the ground the earth doesn't suddenly start moving at 1000mph below you is for two reasons: 1) before you jump you're already moving at 1000mph in the same direction as the surface is 2) the atmosphere is also travelling at the same speed as the earth's surface (neglecting winds).

Coincidentally we have our annual air show in South Wales this Saturday/Sunday so the Red Arrows will be here both days!

The earth, land, air, and sea move as 1. If they didn't, the sea would stay in place and appear to rush over the land at 1000 mph and a wind also 1000mph would appear to come from 1 direction

Hi Connor! I am currently working in a field a stones throw from RAF Waddington, the Red Arrows home base. The other day at lunchtime they flew a rehearsal flight with smoke! Made an interesting day!

We live within the earth’s atmosphere, like a bubble 😊

Connor you don't notice because the atmosphere is moving at the same speed as the earth...

You`re already moving at the speed of the earth It`s all relative.

Always see them down on the coast in folkestone UK. Absolutely amazing to see!

If you want to fly with them join the queue ( get in line ) it stretches from about Canada to Mexico. As for your other query it’s relative the earth spins at 1, 037 miles per hour so you are travelling at that speed stationary, if you throw a ball in the air it doesn’t come down a mile behind you, as the ball and you are travelling the same rotationally.

Throw a ball up in an airplane.
Inertia, the ball in an airplane follows a parabola.

I've flown aerobatics but never flown in formation, let alone aerobatics in formation. Hats off as always to the Red Arrows - I remember them as a kid when they were flying Folland Gnats. Naturally, my favourite jet formation display team. I'd love to have seen the Black Arrows with their 22 Hunters display. I have an uncle who saw them at Farnborough but I'm just a couple of years too young to have seen it.

For all practical purposes here you can ignore the earths rotation but it does have some effect in principle. If the earth had no atmosphere and you did a vertical jump you would land slightly displaced against the surface (unless you were standing at one of the poles of rotation) but it would be immeasrurably small - and even less when you take the atmosphere into account which will pull you along. It's the rotational coriolis effect - the deflection taken by objects not firmly connected to the ground - which has a significant effect on weather patterns.

Even in the air, one is still subject to gravity.
