9:49 You are correct regarding the "water passage" part. Check the VTEC solenoids that came with these JDM engines. Mine had a solenoid for the RBB head which seemed odd for a base JDM K24A engine so I swapped that over too.

the first 3sgte was a gen4 (side feed intake manifold) the second one shown is a 5th gen (center feed and the cover on the intercooler) both from the Toyota Caldina just different years.
