You could have mentioned that the LeCar was a mid-engined car, the transmission was forward of the engine. Front mid-engine, but mid-engine none-the-less.

What is with: VW, Porsche, Ferrari, Alfa Romeo, Maserati, Lamborghini, Pagani, ISO, Jaguar, McLaren, Lotus, RR, Jensen, Aston Martin, Bristol, Range Rover, Mini, SAAB, Volvo, Alpina, Bugatti, Delaheye, Matra, ...and many others, even little known and unnoticed Mercedes is not here at least with 300SL & 300SEL 6.3 which are with (mentioned DS), E-type, 911, beetle, Miura, F1, ...and many many others pretty iconic and interesting in their own way to Americans. For sure, there is more interesting BMWs than this, 507, E9 CS, E24 CSi, E30 M3, E28 M5, M1, 2002 tii, ...!
