I am Mexican grew up with authentic Mexican food thanks to my mother never ever did she put platano.. I think if there is Mexicans that put platano might be the south states that are closer to the border with Guatemala cause those states share some similar Spanish lingo and food traditions.

That was not plátano that was a banana. In El Salvador we add large slices of PLÁTANO into the soup and it’s a sweet addition to a savory dish. This woman does not know how to cook but she sells herself like she does and I respect the hussle 😂
