I grew up in the Tanzanian and Rwandan border, though i was just a kid in 1994, i still remember seeing millions of refugees pouring into our Tanzanian side of the border, seeing dead bodies in the ruvuvu river, these guys have done a great job for Rwanda who knew Rwanda would be stable now. Kagame makes valid points. His first being that an entire situation must be assessed before you can conclude. His second being that foreign countries concept of democracy is not a gold standard. Countries can form their own versions. And his third comment is that other countries must respect the sovereign rights and choices that citizens of each country decides upon. If the Rwandans form or version of Democracy equals a president can have as long a term as he is elected too, that is Rwanda's decision to make, not Europe, and certainly not the US. Western countries need to leave their imperialists views at home.

Rwanda is now one of the best countries in Africa under president paul Kagame ticking all the boxes of a country that is on a path to greatness . Why does the west always think that their so call democracy must work for everyone? If his leadership works his for country he can be there for ever . Rwanda does not need a leader who will be manipulated by the west to cause endless wars like what is now happening in Libya.

China is not democratic but is doing exceptionally well . Why don’t you go and ask for power change in China?
