I love when the judges give positive feedback on the dishes! The look of relief and joy on the cooks is so wonderful!!

I made congee A LOT. Never in a pressure cooker. It would take 4 hours and require 10 cups of water to 2 cups of rice. I’d put ham, or chicken in it and for breakfast an egg. A great way to stretch food in a budget

I like that usually the judges on MasterChef Canada 🇨🇦 usually make it about the food and the contestants not themselves.

Nadia: "i'm smoking the cheese in this bag that is totally air proof so the smoke doesn't escape and infuse into yhe cheese"
(Not her exact words but why else would she put it there)
Judges: *opens the bag to smell it lettimg some of the smoke escapes* oh wow
Me: "bruh...."

"Kanji" south Indian staple food
In here, we marinate the cooked rice overnight, and next morning we eat it with chilli and onion.

I'm from the United States, so I'm definitely no authority when it comes to poutine. But for me, just the regular, basic version has always been my favorite. But maybe it's like how we treat macaroni and cheese here. Lots of fancy versions with added ingredients. Either way, I love Canada so much. They're just a great people, and the culinary staples I've tried have all been delicious.
