John Hughes tribute [American Beauty]

My video tribute to John Hughes and his body of work, set to Thomas Newman's music from "American Beauty." Also features "Oh Yeah" by Yello, "If You Leave" by OMD, and "Don't You (Forget About Me)" by Simple MInds.

Though Hughes would only direct 8 films his true gifts were as a writer, where he gave us dozens and dozens of characters and stories that all have his touch of humanity and nostalgia. He died much too young, but his work will live on as long as humanity itself.

Awesome! Great tribute. I love John Hughes. I feel like he was the last great American filmmaker to imbue his work with genuine humanity, before the age of cynicism set in.
