This is my tribute to the genius of John Hughes in the 80's. Not only was he the king of the teenage angst movie, but had other comedic hits like Vacation, Plants, Trains, & Automobiles, and of course Home Alone. This is set to the first lady of the 80's Pat Benatar's "We Belong".

You cannot understand how great the 80s were if you werent there. It was the best decade ever. Nothing compares

For those of us that remember, the eighties may have been the last generation to be truly connected by what was available to us on TV, Films, and in particular Music. There wasn’t the choice then that we have today, we watched, we listened, and we shared it all together, we laughed, and we cried together. There is of course greater access to everything now, but we collectively shared those experiences together in the 1980s, which is why we’re all still so connected. Today’s kids are tuned in and tuned out… if only we could turn back time!

damn... I was a teenager in the 80's
and spent my 20's in the 90's
its only decades later do I realise how lucky I was to grow up in that time.

No damn cell phones or social media, real human interaction, taught people how to be confident and tough, handle real rejection, hard work, and most importantly, communication and trust were built, that is all gone now

Watching these great movies in the 80’s, as a teenager was more of a privilege than could have fathomed at the time. Now, at 53, I look back with with gratitude that I was lucky enough to be just the right age to get the message. RIP John Hughes.

The memories we made in the 80's were the best... talking on a land line all night with your friends, hanging out at the mall, partying in the woods, MTV jams, Saturday morning cartoons, life was so much simpler ! The good times !

This Really Hits Hard. The Nostalgia is so strong, it hurts. My Generation misses the 80's so much we want to go back, and I'm no exception. This is just more prof that the 80's was wonderfully weird and magical. Thanks.

Wake up wach a little MTV, go to the Mall, waste a couple of quarters at Arcade, catch a John Hughes movie at the Cineplex, make out with your chick in the dark, go home and talk all night on the phone till the sun came up Long live the 80s !!!!

When I am old and feeble, and my mind no longer functions in the present, I pray that my remaining years will be lived immersed in my memories of this decade.

Mary Stuart Masterton's teary-eyed look at Eric Stolz at the end of SKOW is one of the most iconic shots in movie history.

John Hughes never got the proper recognition he deserved, probably made more people laugh and cry in the 80’s than any other director.

If you grew up in the 80s with his movies, it is impossible to say they didn't help shape, even a little, the person you grew up to be! The Breakfast Club and Some Kind of Wonderful were my favorites.

He made teenage boys feel like we had a fighting chance in both life and love. His movies are a huge part of my childhood and growing up. He like so many of the 80s are forever gone and never forgotten. I wish every day it was still the 80s. Having a world that was able to start being themselves without alot of judgement and people just seemed alot happier.

There will NEVER be another time like the 80's! Not in television, or movies, or music, or life itself. I wish I could go back to those times.
