How do you tell the difference between dandruff and head lice? Dandruff is typically light and flaky and comes right off of the head, and head lice nits stick in the hair and do not come right out. Both head lice and dandruff itch the scalp, so it can be kind of hard to tell sometimes. When in doubt, check with your physician.

About THE LICE LADY:
Being a mom of 6 kids, I have dealt with a lot coming through our household. So, I was not shocked when lice hit our home a few years ago. I was not fortunate enough to have access to professional lice treatment at that time, so I, like most people do, went to the store and bought all the lice removal products with the most convincing packaging in hopes that they would kick our infestation. What I did not know at the time was how much more money, time and effort I would be putting in to getting rid of these incredible bugs! I’ve had lice before and as a kid, it was more of a “somethings crawling on me” itch than just an itch. But recently I can’t really tell. Before, when you’d have an egg, you’d have to squish it between your nails and it seems kinda hard and pops hard. I can run my hands through my hair towards my scalp, and find little balls similar to lice eggs. Although it doesn’t pop like before and is much softer....

At the beginning of winter my hair started to get itchy. And flakes started to come off. I got I kinda worried about it being lice but It being winter and me having exima kind of made me think I had lice. But when I found this video it helped me calm down.

Idk if I have lice because like my head is itching on the spots lice usually like to hang out around but like I used a comb to find lice but like there wasn't any. I wash my hair like 3-4 times a week and idk if I am washing it too much or it is because my nit comb doesn't work....HELP

I have little bumps on my scalp but it doesnt look like the head lice bites in pictures on google i see does anymore know if dry scalp gives little bumps on your head?

I have sensation at different times and at different places in my scalp and sometime I feel like something is crawling or movement that lasts 1-2 seconds.Have tried over the counter lice treatment where it takes one application and than wait 7-10 days for another one.Seemed to be getting better during treatment and than returns.Have tried head and shoulders a couple times but doesn't help.Should i try a better brand of lice treatment like a Rid?Thanks

Uuugghh I recently had head lice and because of it I washed my hair with lice shampoo like every other day and then washed my hair. Then I left vaseline in my hair for days and after removing it I washed my hair with dish soap to get the grease out of my hair sooner (extremely unwise decision, I know) and as a result my hair is itchy and dry so I keep getting afraid that I still have head lice.
