Btw head lice prefer clean hair and adults who have good hair hygiene. Also it has been proven that head louse, actually prefer a certain blood type just like mosquitoes. The best way to kill lice is to understand their life span than find out what lice hate. An adult head louse lives without blood for up to the top 36 hours. The nits (lice in it's infant stage which is an egg) are laid about a half inch away from the scalp. The glue that is placed around the nit at the time of laying them is literally one of the strongest adhesives made by a parasitic bug. Nits stay in the egg and hatch for 7 days. You may have gotten rid of the adults but if you don't come the nits and treat them within 7 days they'll be back and starting the process all over again. All it takes is 2 nits to produce 2 adult head lice and then those 2 adults mate and a female can lay up to 15 nits every day and imagine if you have more than 1 female laying eggs or 3 females imagine the horror story with that... It takes 7 seconds for an adult head lice to run from one side of your head to the other. The itchy feeling you get from the bites is due to their saliva. They excrete their saliva into the but to cause a reaction with your blood. Their saliva has anticoagulant properties that make it easier to suck a steady stream of blood till their full. Lice can hold their breath for up to 8 hours, crazy isn't it? Lice have to feed on blood every 7 mins or they become weak and slow. Lice hate real tea tree essential oil. They CANNOT live in extreme heat or cold temperatures. Again like my earlier statement lice CANNOT live without blood for the tops 36 hours. I say 36 hours because (I'm a lice technician and have educated myself with as much recent information as possible from studies and facts about head lice) there isn't a whole lot of support showing that 24 hours is a certain amount of time to kill each individual head lice due to some may have fed right before being removed and that gives them an extra amount of time to survive longer without a blood feeding. We lice technicians like to say 36 hours because that is enough time to say safely they are dead. You can use real mayo, olive oil, and Cocoanut oil over night with a hair cap on to sufficate the little buggers because remember they can hold their breath for up to 8 hours. Now, I'm not sure if any of these natural remedies this woman gave actually work because some of those ingredients I've never heard of before lol. Doesn't hurt to try. I know taking sea salt and pure water and mixing about a half cup of sea salt in with an 8oz pure water and spraying your entire head till it's soaked from the salt water then letting it dry then don't wash your hair and put a mixture of five drops tea tree oil, 1/3 cup olive oil, 1/3 cup Cocoanut oil and 1/4 cup pure water mixing it together ( why use pure water because it's alkaline and because it's alkaline the oils mix better than tap water) then saturate your hair with this mixture and let sit over night. The next day take a good non plastic lice comb and comb the nits and adult lice out. Wash your hair with shampoo and conditioner you want to blow dry your hair on hot heat then take a hair straightening iron and straighten your hair from scalp to ends in very small sections. This is very close to the methods we use at our lice removal clinics. To get rid of lice 100% make sure to treat bed linens, furniture, and clothing, oh and even the seating in your vehicles. Put linen and clothes in the dryer on high heat for the longest length possible. Also buy rid spray and douse your furniture and car seats with it. Make sure to vacuum it helps to put baking soda on the floor for 30 mins prior to vacuuming. This should do the trick completely. Good luck and congratulations lol for reading everything. I have been a victim before and all that I did was wash my hair, then I applied original Aboniki balm to the root of the hair when it's dry.
You can either put it under dryer or leave it that way, continue this process, though it will pepper you but it's bearable.
Also comb through from time to time to remove the dead lice and thank me later.😅
