Love the sport of spearfishing but don't have an inkling on how to cook a fish? In this new series founder and owner of Adreno, Tim Neilsen, will show you how to Cook Your Catch.

Ingredients:
Flour
1 Egg
1kg of Fish
Bread Crumbs
Frying oil

Method:
Scramble the egg in a bowl, and place your bread crumbs and flour in two separate bowls.
Keeping the flour in a wide bowl, put each fish fillet in the flour and ensure to totally cover the fillet. Then, immerse the fillet in the egg until totally covered. This will allow the breadcrumbs to stick to the batter. Cover the fillet in crumbs and leave aside until all fillets have been completed.

Prepare some oil in a frying pan. Ensure that you don’t make the oil too hot. Remember, frying anything in hot oil can be very dangerous and if overheated can combust. Check that your oil is hot enough to fry with a very small piece of fish. When ready, carefully place the fish fillets in, placing them away from your body to avoid oil flicking back towards you and burning your skin.

It should only take a minute or so to cook. The batter should turn a golden brown. Remember that even after you take the fish out of the oil it’s going to continue to cook even after it’s out of the oil because of how hot it’s become.

Serve your fillets with your choice of side dish and enjoy!
