Being able to set your own wake up word would be so amazing.

The old lock incon use to be a padlock, and has had the red (unlocked) yellow (locking/unlocking) green (locked) colours for a while. It just looks like they have made it look like a switch like a lot of the other entities recently.
Looking forward to seeing what Nabu Casa come up with regarding smart speakers in the near future. That is a really exciting thing as other voice assistants are pretty hopeless.

Here's Home Assistant 2023.7! What's your favorite new functionality?

Hi Ed, great video’s, love them all! Somehow the assist button with immediate listening does not work for me. I do see voice assistants defined under Setup but only thing I can do is typing. How should this further work in companion app and/or a windows 11 system / firefox browser??

hi why I can't see assist as a entity to add a button on my dashboard after installing the latest 2023.7? please

Really hope they are working on a smart speaker, because all this voice functionality is pretty useless otherwise. Right now getting audio out or into HA is a pain. All the ESP32 speakers I have tested sound terrible and using a VoIP phone is just a silly novelty. The calendar event list looks awesome though. The new UIs still continue to dumb things down and show less info, they look nicer, but would love the functionality to still be there. Great video as always.

I started to like your videos but every time i try to do one of things you show, it won't work because either you had configured your HA much further or my Alexa speaker don't like tts and uses only their media services.
How to use a created voice assistant instance on echo devices?

Why are these guys unable to create a drag and drop, and resize ability for HA? This should have been baked into the original release, and I'm going to be honest here, is one of THE most trivial of programming tasks. I'd love to know their reasoning as to the holdup. HA isn't very useful without it.

I’m the TTS example, how can I make the Message the result of the conversation service?

You mean Yaml code will disappear, what will replace it?

Zo'n change zal wel de oorzaak zijn dat het energieprijzen script niet meer werkt. Heb hem nog niet aan de praat gekregen. 😁

Hi, where and how are the YAML integration configuration deprecations be announced?
