I had expected Matter to be launched with this release.. they already have a working integration, the API was stabilized weeks ago and the launch event of Matter is today. Would be awesome if HA had support from day 1!

I think other countries need to get on board this free water situation you got going on there! 😅

Great Video :) here in germany it's important to keep an eye of your water usage, but I'm not sure to track it with my old water meter.

Nice. Thanks for the updates! Can't wait to try the new features.

yea it would be cool if they could fix the issues with calculating total energy usage before adding water to it. What i mean is if you have a smart meter that reads your mains total usage and then a smart plug for washer and dryer to setup notifications for your laundry then home assistant will automatically add them together even though the total mains power is already the total, there's no checkbox to uncheck the washer and drier that are extra.
Nice been waiting for the oral b integration

Water sensor is also a valuable sensor for leak detection.

Tile cards are worth fully exploring! Tap actions can be modified and do far more then the talking points I keep hearing.

I like the ability to change the icon for automations, makes them quicker to find in a list.
I'm at a loss to see anything with the Min, Max, Mean option on statistics when you click into an entity, e.g. temp sensor. Does not seem to show much different across the three options, could just be me obvs!

Hiya from Australia. Hey I have just come across a few of your videos and you have motivated me to engage with HA. I have ordered the Home Assistant SkyConnect USB Stick and installed HA(barely) on my new 13th gen intel PC in VirtualBox. The issue is that the guide to follow on the HA website seems outdated. I was wondering if you would mind creating a video with how to install this on a HA from start to finish. Would help out a lot of newbees. Oh I missed the your previous sensor sale. When are you doing another?
thanks

This update broke 4 out of the 10 things I use with HA. UPnP integration is broken, some of GCals have stopped working,

I appreciate these videos you do. I'm new to HASS (but not Home Automation), and it's nice to have these (Though I read the release notes as well). I'm still dipping my toes into the water with HASS and not moved fully in, but so far it's ok. I know I'll be at least using it for dashboards as I really appreciate the flexibility that the base system and the community options offer (many you've introduced me to)

Anywho, I just wanted to say thanks :)

Here in Brazil, water costs monthly roughly 1/6 the minimum wage...
What a dream...

Thanks For the overview Lewis! But seriously, how did you not laugh when you said: "The all important Oral B integration". The idea of controlling anything with my toothbrush just makes me laugh so much.

I would like it if I could put entity controls on a template card.

Nice to see that they have added water consumption - otherwise it would be a nice time to review Jomjol's watermeter AI on the edge that can be installed on cheap ESP32 with Cam.
