I own a 2021 Arteon sel premium and love it. It's nothing like my 2012 infiniti g37 sedan. That car drives handles like it's on rails. However I plan on moving to the 2023 Arteon because I want the engine and transmission upgrades. It's ashame that VW is dropping it. They just needed to advertise it more and keep updating it. Everywhere I go people as me about it and say how beautiful it. If this were and Audi, would out sell A5 sportback. Also the best version isn't offered here. The full R. 320 hp and top speed of 167 Shame, as there more drivers like me who don't want an SUV. But a car that fast, spacious, attractive and affordable

owner of 2022 Arteon here. I've owned nothing but VWs in the last 12 yrs so I have some perspective. Also owned a 2017 Golf R in MT. You failed to mention that the 22 Arteon also comes with power bump. Regardless, i'm a father of two kids and this is my daily commute. For what it is it's perfectly fine. I may or may not get the APR s1 but for now, just gonna leave it the way it is and perfectly content with it. Eventually, this is not something I'll hold onto forever. Nice car overall.

Leasing a 2019 SEL R-line Arteon, started in April 2020. Love it. LOVE IT. Absolutely bulletproof. Not a single issue bumper to bumper. What a shame they gave me $8K off MSRP and a 6 YEAR/72, 000 mile bumper-to-bumper warranty. Dude, like nobody who gets into this car is looking to have "performance enhancements, " or aftermarket tuning, blah blah blah performance enthusiast sh*t. I blow everybody away, every time I get out on the byways and highways, especially at and above the higher end (80+ mph). It's the coolest sedan on the road, bar none, under $100K, and the room inside is incredible. Like the other comment, I love how unique this car is, and EVERYBODY thinks the styling is the bomb. Cruises at 125mph, handles like its on rails, and yup... its a keeper. Maybe you should review the Civic Type-R? Great car, lots of mods, a million on the road. For every Racerboy out there. Nobody beats me in traffic. Nobody.

I have a "19 SEL-P and love it. If you know what you're getting (daily driver/family hauler/faux luxury/comfortable long distance cruiser) then it's a perfect car. I LOVE the look inside and out. I plan to do the APR ECU upgrade, lowering springs, rear sway-bars, and aftermarket wheels. Coming from hatchbacks (Veloster, A3) and wagons (A4 Avant, Lexus Sportcross) - the Arteon is the perfect car for me since it offers the cargo volume of a wagon/hatch and the styling of a luxury fastback. This car is definitely a keeper.

I bought a ‘19 SEL R-Line four days ago with the 20” rim option and absolutely LOVE the car. It has everything that I could ever ask for, I get a surprising amount of stares, and I swear the gas mileage is greater than what they’ve stated. I’m debating on adding upgrades or not because the car being black with black wheels could be an absolute sleeper.

I have a 21 Arteon and love it. Now just shy of 400hp with APR tune and basically FBO. Intercooler, intake, turbo inlet pipes, turbo muffler delete etc etc... Never seen a check engine light and it's more enjoyable to drive now. I can count on one hand how many I've seen in nearly 3 years of ownership. It breaks necks and I get compliments all the time. Also, it's not "Very slow to shift" it's just not as fast as a DSG or a ZF (which are lightning fast) AND THATS OK. The Arteon is not a performance car. If I wanted to go faster I'd of bought a BMW from the get go. I wanted something unique and different.

I have an Arteon and love it. I have sold a bunch, and they love theirs as well. The 2023 is awesome !

Recently bought an early 2023 Arteon R shooting brake - for practical reasons needed a sizeable estate and didn’t want huge expense of larger engine (faster) competitors. Came from a black edition A6 which felt more premium but didn’t excite, this offered the best overall package - running costs I can deal with and performance when I want it, but still a very comfortable practical family car. Looking to make some mods and realising they are limited compared with the Golf R, but probably sufficient for what I want…

At the time of my research there's more parts and tunes available from APR. The fact it's being discontinued in 2024 I don't think is a deal breaker for me. It's actually more of an incentive. I like the feeling of being "unique" so for me the final model is likely gonna be what I get.

Makes me glad my 2018 arteon r-line has a 7-speed dsg box. I had to replace the mechatronic once cause it broke but it was surprisingly cheap on this model. Shifts pretty fast and smoothly even without a tune.

I have a 21’ SEL 4Motion Arteon. I love this car entirely too much 😂. I’ve never really had performance cars. I’ve had a A4, a MK7 Golf, 19’ Jetta R Line, and a CC. I’ve always been a big body 4 door coupe kinda guy deeply. I absolutely loved my CC when I had it. But the Arteon is definitely not a performance vehicle. It’s a niche kinda car with great features. Mine is Stage 1 tuned and lowered and man does it make a world of a difference. 1st car I’ve ever lowered and tuned btw lol. But everyone skips over how BIG the Arteon is. It’s bigger than a A7 at least in the trunk, idk about the outside and interior room. My buddies that get in the back and passenger are well over 6ft and always have tons of room and nobody ever has to move a seat. I remember taking my car to get a brand new toilet and it fit in the trunk perfectly 😂. Yeah it’s not a performance car and they tried to keep up with the horsepower in the segment. I like it as is tbh. If I wanted a performance car I would’ve bought one ya know. The Arteon always 1st caught my eye it’s a sexy car. It gets quite the looks and questions when I’m out and about, ESPECIALLY when the hatch opens. Not to mention all the cool features it comes with. The logo projection, IQ headlights, light up grill, etc. but like I said definitely like a niche car 😅 and to note I did get it used in 2021 with only 2k miles for a VERY good deal!

I own a 2021 Arteon SEL Premium R line. I purchased it because I needed a car with more backseat room and trunk space. The 2021 Arteon was middle of the pack on performance for its price point keeping speed with Audi A5 or Volvo S60 and many other cars. The transmission in the 2021 is not sport tuned as you commented, but it is very smooth. It shifts gears so smoothly that it feels like a CVT. I would say the 2021 Arteon is more luxury grand touring over off the line sport. My prior car was an off the line sports car that could accelerate fast enough to give whiplash. I am OK going 0 to 60 in 6.3 seconds and not getting whiplash.

Have the 2020 Arteon APR High Torque 91 octane tune, 034 turbo muffler, turbo inlet, APR CF intake tune and CAI. Love it for what it is sport back with an IS38 turbo. Yes Aisin is a bummer but still pretty quick 5.2 0-60 13.3 qtr Mile.

I own the 2021 Arteon, and the transmission does feel very slow to shift at times, but I always take it into account and can shift early while revving higher, and it seems to take care of the lag. I am disappointed it has been discontinued though. Less available parts in the future!

I have a 2022 arteon and so far the car is awesome, I'm really hoping that Apr will make a tune for the DSG and new motor.

Very useful perspective even though I have never had or have intentions for aftermarket power enhancement. Proud and happy first owner of 2014 VW CC 2.OT Exec. Have 84 k miles. Was thinking if we should replace it or get a second vehicle. 2023 Arteon shall be in my top two choices.

I just watched your video and really enjoyed your discussion about the turbo that is installed on the Arteon. I own a 2021 SEL P and I’m very happy with it. I do not have a problem at all with the transmission. I find that it shifts smoothly for me. I am a cruiser, not a tuner. Aisin sits under the Toyota Motor Group umbrella so as long as it is a reliable tranny I’ll be fine with it.

I have an Arteon and love it … GIAC will tune the car you just have to contact them. As for the 8zf transmission I hate it totally agree with what you said about it . As for aftermarket part most of the performance part you get for the Golf R will work for the Arteon, intake, inlet, discharge, turbo muffler, throttle pipe, even the down pipe all work. Intercooler is a little tricky some are direct fit (apr and cts) other require modifications. Just thought this would help

Great video my man!! I will say coming from owning a 21’ Arteon APR stage 1 93 with bolt ons. The transmission definitely holds the vehicle back but with everything considered the Arteon is VW flagship vehicle! Will be rare someday hopefully. It was built with luxury in mind first, with it having the motor and turbo combo it does have it makes it more appealing but never was intended to be a performance driven car. It excels in comfort and luxury especially in its class/price point. Interior and cargo space is equivalent if not better than an Audi A7. For the money, it’s not much that can compete with the vehicle, quality and comfort wise!
