Valentines Shortbread Recipe #shorts
Valentines Shortbread Recipe ♥️ ⤵️
Cute shortbread hearts filled with jam.
These are easy to make and delicious, perfect for yourself and as a gift for your loved ones 🥰
Ingredients:
150g flour
100g butter (soft)
50g powdered sugar
1tsp vanilla
1 egg yolk
3tbps jam (I used strawberry)
Method:
•line a baking tray with baking paper
•place all ingredients into a medium mixing bowl
•combine everything with your hands - once the dough comes together and is smooth, stop mixing (don’t over mix )
•wrap the dough in cling film and let it rest in the fridge for at least 1h
•roll out the dough evenly (I do this between two baking paper sheets)
•cut the cookies, I used a heart shaped cookie cutter you can use any shape you like
•cut smaller hearts into half of the hearts and place all biscuits on the baking tray
•bake at 170c for approximately 12 min, or until golden brown
•cool the biscuits completely at room temperature
•spread a little bit of jam on the full heart biscuit
•dust the biscuits with the smaller heart cut inside with powdered sugar and place on top of the a cookie with jam
•let them dry for approximately 30 min before storing them in an airtight container
