Great video! Love the idea of having a lid as I have to put my bins in a sunny spot in the garden. Did you use Heat Treated (HT) pallets? I am having trouble finding these at a useful size. Don't forget to build yourself another bin (or two) so that when one bin is full and is maturing you can start piling up compost materials in the next bin. Also, if you attach galvanised metal vermin mesh (6mm mesh size) along the base of the bin this should keep out mice & rats! Worms can still move in to help break down the compost materials. Happy gardening!

Hey. Replace your drill with an impact driver and you will never want to use a drill anymore for screwing and fastening. Believe me, it will change your life forever.

You don't have to place slats in between. This is a slight misconception and also, the compost dries out along the edges. I have experience of this. Have a look at Charles Dowding's (no dig) compost bins :) ;)
