I only do a summer garden. In the off season I compost directly on top of my garden. Since I fish year round I bury my fish remains about 16"-18" deep, fill the hole with compost, replace the soil. Awesome but just do not walk barefoot in the garden. Bones are turned over each time since I have been doing this for years! They quickly breakdown though once exposed to air.

I have done this before and it worked great. Lots of places are happy to give them away. I even got the posts for free from a lumber supply store. They threw out any that were split on a pile. They were also happy to get rid of them.

I was hoping for something a bit more detailed than 1. get a bunch of pallets and 2. join them together. Because I did and they are falling apart! Also be good to know how you break apart pallets without the wood splintering. But I'm being picky. Good to recycle!

Over the weeks add kicthen oil and fat. Then in cooler weather add wood ash from the I did. It worked.

Three o'clock in the morning I was with the fire people trying to extinguish the fire!
