Great tips throughout!

Also please everyone remember that most dialects of English have an aspirated “P” sound, meaning that the voice doesn’t kick in until a few milliseconds after the initial transient of the P, so keep that in mind when looking at your waveforms. Syncing to “B” sounds generally won’t have this problem.

I manually synced enough footage over the last couple of years. Still I learned new things here. Thanks!

Oh, Thank you, Sir...
Synchronizing tracks... Definitely a use-case I struggle(d) with far too often... (thanks to you, I now have the chance of adding simple past to "struggle" ; precious).
Count me as a follower for your next lessons and keep doing this great work. As "niche" and valuable as it is...

Great video and clear and clean explanation, keep teaching and sharing, thanks Chadwick!
Resolve is great for syncing audio and video, there are many different ways to do that, imho Auto Sync in the Media Pool of the Media Page is the best, but it has a big bug and I wanted to ask your help, since you didn't talk about it in this video. I keep it short, maybe you already know this issue: this feature doesn't work really well with .xml files, since audio files are linked to video files, .xml imported into other NLE or DAWs cannot find the audio tracks because of the clip names. Do you have any suggestions? I need XML or EDL for Reaper, not AAF.

Great video for alternative ways to get a killer sync! Thanks for all of you killer content. Question what brand and model is the field recorder in this video? Thanks! Again

I once had to sync audio with no scratch track and no claps because I had failed to properly setup the camera audio levels. Learned my lesson, always try to get a visible clap now to have a visual reference, along with an audible sync point. 😅

Brilliant! Great detailed and super useful info.
I just mashed the Like button 10 times, and Subscribed three more times.
(Okay, not actually, but I want to!)

Thank you for this extremely helpful video!

I have a question: How do you sync audio/video for two cameras (different angles, which will be muted in the final cut) and a mic (used for the sound in the final cut) when one camera recorded at a different speed than the audio? The scenario that I'm referring to is a funeral. There is an audio from the pulpit, which they want for the entire service. One stationary camera is setup on a tripod at the back, which syncs perfectly with the audio, and one moving camera is setup on a tripod on the side for closeups of the speakers, but the recording is slightly slower and becomes noticeably out of sync with the audio within about a minute. I volunteered to edit the video, but this has proven to be a stumbling block for me.

I appreciate any insight and help you can provide! God bless you!

2:59 Is there a way to adjust the Zoom level of the Waveform panel? (When working from the Media page). Or does it just populate the file to fit?
