New settlement brings hope to Somali refugees fleeing conflict

Somali refugees escaping conflict at home are relocated to a new settlement located in Mirqaan in Ethiopia’s Somali region, built to house Somali refugees fleeing violence back home.

The #UNHCR does commendable work for refugees around the world. However I don’t understand why the refugees in Africa are kept in camps with tents that quickly become permanent housing with deplorable conditions. Is the infamous kakuma refugee camp in #Kenya 🇰🇪 still operating?
