It wasn’t his intelligence he saw here, it was his will.

Dude that actor plays Ragnar so well man. When he died and was out of the picture, the show was never the same.

Ivar connecting with Ragnar in those few episodes really changed the atmosphere of the series.

Travis's non-verbal acting is so damn good! What a great actor!

He saw his potential and determination to be more than what he was and what people thought he could be. As ragnar said later, his legs weren’t a weakness, they were his strength. In other words, he saw that DAWG in him. “People will always underestimate you, you must make them pay for it.”

This show managed to create the Myth of Ragnar so incredibly well. I’ve never seen any character development this good. You feel that you are watching a myth, a legend, when you watch Ragnar. His aura is so powerful. 10/10 writing and production.

If u have a disabled child or sibling you will already know. Treat them as if they are not. It shows respect.

It's called The will of the warrior. Imagine having this dude as your dad having to try to impress him. Ivar did it and was never looked down upon again

Growing up with Cerebral Palsy, I hadn't ever seen positive/ determined depictions of disability until Ivar the Boneless in Vikings. Ivar is proof that determination and ambition can exist in anyone. He also proves that underestimating the disabled is dangerous.
I'm new to the show and have been catching up with the help of Hulu; I'm not ashamed to say that my own self-image has improved because of Ivar the Boneless. For the first time in nearly 30 years, I believe in myself. Amazing show! 💛

He literally treated him like everyone else despite his ailments. That's a true father there. He knew his son could handle it

I don't think this had as much to do with intelligence than realising how utterly terrifying Ivar had the potential to be. Dragging his feet along like a Daemon crawling from the depths of hell with a determination on his face unrivalled by any of his sons. He knew at this moment that when Ivar has a goal, nothing can stop him from achieving it and so he knew that this was the only son that needed to be in that boat for his last plan to work.

Bruh!!! The dude playing Ragnar is probably the best fucking actor I've seen in movie's in my 42yrs!💯💯 He is a living legend who can say more with his eyes and facial expressions then actual words! Imo he's the fucking goat 🐐💪

I love it how Ragnar knew that Ivarn is psychopath and he was going to be his wrath and carnage and welcomed it gladly.
