It makes no sense to say, "I don't _know_ if an 8'4" tall woman exists but I _believe_ she's a good person who loves soap operas, hates being interrupted, likes cats, dislikes coffee and wants a new TV." And Xians are ever eager to tell us what their god loves/hates, likes/dislikes and wants i.e. a _personal_ god. But such beliefs about their god's inner feelings and desires _assume_ prior _knowledge_ or they're just idle speculation. So Xians are all gnostics and that calls for objective proof. Xians don't just believe. Deists just believe. Xians _affirm._

Love Sam and how he derives to his logical conclusions. Sam thinks for 'himself.' Sam is not directed or convinced by some ideology out of fear and/or need. As an Ex-Christian, the word 'God' in every context refers to either God of the Christian bible or Allah of the Koran. I believe in a Divine source of everything and that's all I know. There is consciousness/life after death. I digress. But the Christian God is so obvious that man created this God in his likeness. Exactly in his likeness. Jealous, Vengeful, Abusive, Egotistical, Demanding... and yes, loving, kind, rewarding, caring... if you bow before him as a slave or ELSE he will smite you to hell. Yup, exactly like man.
