The Basilica Cistern (Turkish: Yerebatan Sarayı - "Sunken Palace", or Yerebatan Sarnıcı - "Sunken Cistern"), is the largest of several hundred ancient cisterns that lie beneath the city of Istanbul (formerly Constantinople), Turkey. The cistern, located 500 feet (150 m) southwest of the Hagia Sophia on the historical peninsula of Sarayburnu, was built in the 6th century during the reign of Byzantine Emperor Justinian I.

If I hadn't read Inferno, I wouldn't have known the in-depth history this place carries. Now, i really want to go Istanbul :).

hahahah so interesting to read the comments lol. Actually I'm watching this video because of Dan Brown. I'm reading Inferno right now and I reach the place where they find out the sunken palace means this place on video. what's more interesting I have been in these places last year when I visit Istanbul which helps better visualize.
