I need everything the gospel says. I am so tired of "Christians" watering down the power of the gospel.

I worked at Church's Chicken. There's no tips there, but I was still always glad if someone wanted to give me a gospel track or talk to me about Jesus. I was already saved, but I was always glad to know that one of my customers was saved and cared that I was also saved. People need to hear the gospel.

Thanks Dave for confirming that money is more valuable than the gospel to the Laodicean church.

Ramsey makes it sound like it's beneath him to order a cup of coffee at a Waffle House or have to work on a holiday. Makes me sick. He's equating the Holy Spirit with the smell of money? That's just plain disgusting and blasphemous imo.

I was saved reading a gospel tract! PRAISE THE LORD, a person mailed me a gospel tract. The scripture verses were clear and powerful! .... seems to me that people want to steal God's glory when they claim His Word is not enough, that there has to be a person involved. People don't save people. GOD saves people through the power of His Word. People only GIVE people the gospel. Thank you for not being afraid to tell the truth, Bro. Smith. You may just have opened the eyes of someone who is following Mr. Ramsey. People need the Gospel, not "greens".

He's worshipped money all his life, did you expect any different.

There was a man who stood at a specific suburban train station in Sydney Aust, handing out tracts every morning to commuters for something like 40 years.

A journalist from London England, amazingly heard 4 different Christians in their testimonies credit this stranger on the other side of the world for handing them a tract on their way to work.

The journalist after a long search was able to track down the old man who was in the last week of his life and asked him how many people had been saved through his tracts, and he said he didn't know of any.

I can assure you a harvest from handing out free tracts will be far greater than handing out loads of money without tracts or even mentioning Jesus.

The reason Dave Ramsey thinks it’s better to give a waitress money over a gospel tract, is because Dave Ramsey would rather have money over the gospel.

Also, did you notice something else he said. He said to leave the car running, tell the kids to watch his good deed. That looks like something doing it for his own self. We are supposed to give and not boast, because the Lord knows our hearts and our own intentions.

unfortunately nothing coming from “mainstream christianity” shocks me anymore

What if the waitress believes in karma or the law of attraction?? Does he seriously think she is going to see the Holy Spirit at work in that without being given the gospel?

About money... before I found my church thought Spencer Smith here in New Jersey... I had a tremendous amount of personal debt thinking that if I buy toys for kids that are "less fortunate" it will make my "heart happy". This and I went into thousands in debt for doing it. For years. I cut the chord and started paying down my debt aggressively. I'm still working on it but relatively close. Last fall I mentioned to my Pastor that I might not be able to give as much as I normally due because I need to hammer down on my personal debt. I felt TERRIBLE saying it. With lots of prayer guess what happened? I had more than enough to pay my bills AND give just as much.. even a little more! I honestly believe it's the power of prayer, reading your bible and church attendance that makes a difference.
I have gospel tracts in my purse and on me at all times.

I’ve not had a good feeling about Ramsey for a long time. Give them enough time and they eventually can’t help but show their true colors

"You know why I'm here" PERFECT!!🤣😂

My Bible teaches :
For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
1 Timothy 6:10 KJV

Glad he knows the backstory of every Waffle House waitress. 🙄

I was a waitress for a short time before I was born again, right out of high school. I was so angry once when what I thought was a tip turned out to be a tract that only looked like money. There was no actual tip left.
.
I could never do that to a server, but I would leave a tract along with an actual tip. Dave could have suggested that instead of using so much vitriol while saying "you didn't leave a tract.."

For someone who speaks about finances, Dave Ramsey misses the mark on the truly important matter of eternal riches. Which of these is the MOST valuable in the long-run -- $300 that makes you feel good or meets a need right now (temporary) or spending eternity walking on streets of gold instead of in the lake of fire?

I respect Dave, but he shouldn’t have downgraded gospel tracts or been associated with Furtick. We need to take a stand for the truth and sadly, people’s true colors are beginning to show in these days.
