My gen 1 broke so it was an easy decision. I actually bought gen 2 on accident thinking they were the same one I had before but it was a nice surprise

Yo I used to have the pro 1s but they got stolen a couple months ago 😢 but todays my birthday and my parents got me the pro 2s and I didn’t know what the difference was

Ima be real I didn’t really notice to much of a difference sound wise but my AirPod 1st Gen eventually got messed up with use let’s see how long the new ones last

synopsis

I picked up sealed pack gen 1 just 3 days ago and my soul reason to get the gen 1 was that the gen 1 sounded way more balanced and controlled than the gen 2 especially in the low end the bass is so controlled and clean whereas in gen 2 the bass for me is more than I like even the high notes on the 2nd gen are a tad bit forward which the 1st gen doesn’t. Overall the 2nd gen is more boosted than the gen 1.

Ik that the 2s are better than the ones but I was able to get some ones for over $70 cheaper than the twos

I have the gen 1. Decided to try transparency mode of gen 2 from Apple Store. Transparency felt like it’s not present? because usually the mode will activate upon putting it in immediately and make it feel like the AirPods is never there. But gen 2 did not. Probably because of the adaptive transparency mode?

Don’t listen to this guy. Even if you like the new features that the 2nd Gen has it’s still not worth it if you already have Gen 1. Jus use ur Gen 1 untill it runs its course and but the latest from there

I would’ve never bought the 2nd generation if i never lost the 1st gen so lowkey thankful now😂😭

The twos are better but you should buy the gen 1 since their cheaper and awesome

The ANC is literally the same as when the first gen launched but it got worse over time with firmware

What if your son uses without permission your airpods gen 1 and basically ruined them to where they only play out of one ear...should I upgrade then?
