Just got the 2nd gen pros.. there is no difference in sound.. the noise cancellation is definitely better..but I assure u there no difference in max output or Bass compared to the old gen.. the sound signature may be slightly different .. additional benefits - better battery for sure and slightly better transparency mode.

I’m still rocking the gen 1 pros and still sound great and anc and transparency mode work well I just got them back in June brand new when they wear out I’ll consider them

The biggest difference I can see is being able to adjust volume from the earbud itself. When my Pro mk1 expire, would get these.

What about the vents getting dirty and screwing up transparency, and noise canceling? That was a huge problem with the AirPod pros before and you should have covered it.

It was the volume swip that confused me -All day I could not understand why I could not controll the volume on the stem. I have the " Frist Gen. Though Im no going to spend another 2 bones to upgrade. At least now I understand that on the frist Gen. there is on volume control on the stem. Kill half a day. Thanks for the help.!!!!

I have the 1st gen I had got on launch day and they were great imo then about 3 years ago they stopped working. Well 1 of them did. It wont turn on or charge And I never used them much. Then today I was in Best Buy picking up a game for my ps5 and happened to walk by the Apple table and seen they had them on sale for Memorial Day weekend for 180 so I grabbed them without hesitation and only difference I see so far (with only owning for a few hours) is the case and the features and on my 1st gen I just had to push the button once to cycle thru the anc modes and with the 2nd gen I have to hold down on the button to change it.

Why is absolutely no one talking about the advantage of not having a the grill next to the skin sensor? I switched from gen 1 to 2 and I’m so glad to not clean the grill for gunk every time I take them off

Confused - my original Airpod Pro (i.e. gen 1) DO support that super accurate geolocation function... I noticed you said the CASE supports that, perhaps that's the upgrade - i.e. the original earbuds supported it but not the case, and in Gen 2, both earbuds and case support it?

The main thing I want to know is does the 2nd have a better Bluetooth range than the 1st? I find the range on my 1st starts cutting out when I go in to different rooms, but the range on my Beats Solo pros are much better and doesn’t cut out in when I got into those same rooms. I am hoping the range on the 2nd are better…. Does anyone know?! This should be one of the main considerations, but I don’t even see any reviews mentioning Bluetooth ranges

I’ve noticed the Pro 2’s die extremely quick. Case drops to half in a day with maybe 4-5hrs of use and the buds fully charging back up. I didn’t have to charge my gen 3’s for almost two weeks and be fine. I’m thinking it’s cause of the U1 chip updating the location every 10-15 minutes. Regardless the minum upgrades wasn’t worth me having to charge my case each night so it didn’t die the next day. I returned them.
