I no longer have my mom and growing up she “took care of herself”. She was the most beautiful being I ever saw. She was absolutely stunning. Turns out, I grew up a spitting image of her. I “ take care of myself” because I get to look at my mom in the mirror everyday. So, no, makeup and hair and “all that” is not always about insecurity. You must be talking about the clowns nowadays that want to be called they/them that are looking for validation.

Ill roll out of bed and run errands from the sheets to a hoodie and my husbands slippers no problem but I look like the insecure bombshell you described most of the time.

The most attractive women don't have to wear a ton of makeup or have an expensive hair routine or clothes. You can wear little or no makeup, Old Navy clothes, and box dye your hair and still be esthetically attractive so.... doesn't really make sense.
