I wish there had been internet back in the late 60s
So much math suffering!
This guy is so awesome.

This is conform a^2 - b^2 = (a + b)(a - b). So the answer is: (X + 2 Y)(X - 2 Y). This is no solution but the result of factoring.

It has been years since algebra, but why wouldn’t the answer be: y=sqrt(x^2/4) ?

I know this factors to (x+2y)(x-2y) y=1/2x or -1/2x. Or x=2y or -2y

Yes, I remember good old Algebra 1 back in ninth grade. Was fortunate enough to take Pre-Algebra in eighth grade.
