Learn the ac method for factoring and solving a quadratic equation

preview_player
Показать описание
we find two factors of the product of the constant term (the term with no variable) and the coefficient of the squared variable whose sum gives the linear term. These factors are now placed in separate brackets with x to form the factors of the quadratic equation.

There are other methods that can be used to achive this including the AC, Berry, Box, Grouping, diamond and mental technique. Once we have factored the quadratic equation, we then apply the product property to solve our equation. When solving a quadratic equation we call our solutions the zeros, x-intercept, and roots.

I've had multiple cry sessions because I genuinely have no idea what my teacher is saying, and our tests are the only thing she grades, but you make it so easy. Thank you so much ❤️

I’m literally watching this in class instead of paying attention to the lesson

I think im going to cry!! I have been struggling so so bad with this in math and couldn't for the life of me get it! But your video made it click in my brain! Thank you!!

Thank you so much, you’re the only math teacher who I’ve been able to grasp concepts from. I was literally crying because I didn’t understand at first even after trying to figure it out by asking friends, using my notes, my teacher’s notes as well as looking online for two hours straight. It’s pretty crystal clear now.

I love the large X idea to separate everything. It helps me sort what steps I need to take. This whole videos is great. I, too, was confused about why it was 3x+1, but zee Unveil explained below about how you "merge" the two 3x-5's because they're the same factor. So, you're left with one of the (3x-5)'s and the two remainders, which are (3x+1). That's an important step to explain next time. Still...tyvm, good sir! :)

Ive seen this before in a lecture but didnt know exactly how to ask for an ac method, ive been using the quadratic formula method when I couldve been using this for easier results. Thank you again! your videos have been so helpful for me!

I've watched like 6 of these videos about quadratic formula simplifying radicals and now how to factor when a isn't 1. This guy is a madman at math

It’s 10:36 pm in Chicago and today is my 27th birthday. I finished school years ago and idk why I’m here but I gotta say… I got it almost immediately. You’re a great teacher bc I suck at math. Or maybe it’s the wine 🤘🏾cheers man

I wanna thank you so much for this video! Seriously, my teacher moves way too fast, and it's with every lesson. I find myself learning through videos online instead. I'm so happy for this video because i tend to over think things...make things a bigger problem than it really is. And so having you explain things in such a simple way, like, idk i don't feel stupid.
