Hey Guys! Glad you are getting help from my videos! Today we look at Ariel's eyes up CLOSE and how to clean them and why they get dirty!. This build up is 2 days worth of no drops that I LET happen to be able to educate others. This was not long enough to cause her any pain or any eye damage. It just annoyed her a little but she got treats for it.

Great video but may I suggest that the best practice when cleaning eyes is to use more than one cotton bud and not reintroduce a soiled cotton bud back into the cleaning solution and to discard used cotton buds before cleaning the other eye because if infection is present in one eye it would soon spread to both.

Thank you so much. My friends house burned down and I have been fostering his leopard gecko that miraculously survived. He didn't shed properly, I guess thats normal and sometimes you have to help so I had to help and thats when I found the eye gunk as one eye's gunk stuck to the shed and freaked me out and i used a wet q tip and did the same roll technique to get the rest. I had did it in a panic, I should have stopped and investigated what to do but I didnt want to leave him sitting how he was and I panicked. Luckily it seems my instincts were correct. Im going to see about some of this eye wash stuff.

I’ve been debating between getting a bearded dragon or a gecko and you’ve helped me a lot with my research. This is the 3rd video I’ve seen you do eye cleaning and I’m always in shock. Thank you for the detailed explanation! Our gecko had an eye problem for the first time and we panicked. We didn’t know what it was or what to do. After finding the right vet (one “specialist” was not informative) and following his instructions our gecko is doing better. Your video has given us further hope and we now know what to do moving forward.

I thought only my pug got eye gunkies. Sometimes it will be right across his eye ball, and it must be so distracting for him. But he's a champ at letting me gently remove it. You do it because you love them, because they can't, and because you want them to have the best possible life at every moment. It shows that you really love these animals.
